"As we traveled north, we kept each other within close distance. At one point, he had written his cell phone number on a piece of paper and put it up in the window for me to see as we drove next to him. So, I called him a couple of days later, and we chatted—the basic get-to-know-you info over the phone. The following evening, Oliver called me to say 'Hi' and talk to me more. We talked for about four hours. During that phone call, he asked me out and I accepted.

"When I met Olivia during the project, I thought he was gorgeous, but way out of my league. After the project, we started hanging out as a group, and over time we became good friends. We were always naturally drawn to one another. I knew some of my friends liked him, so he was always off-limits to me. But eventually those friends told me that it was obvious Berto and I liked each other. However, we never really connected. He had lots of 'girlfriends'—I liked to call him a 'player player.' ?
